The “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu offers
great prospects for the rebuilding, economic revitalization and attendant
socio-economic upliftment of Nigeria. However, the greatest challenge in this
direction is regulatory Authorities.
Regulatory Authorities in Nigeria are characterized by numerous infractions
including over lapping jurisdiction and attendant conflicts, divergent
regulatory strategies, Federal and State divide, over bearing attitude and
practices, poor public perception, all of which do not augur well for the
realization of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Furthermore, with globalization, the World has become one large
community, hence, the practices of Regulatory Authorities ought to be in
tandem with globalization.
